A MANIFESTO OF SORTS

With a background in fine art, I have always been fascinated by how artwork can evoke the inherent attributes of human emotion. Utilizing emotion is the fundamental means by which a message can be conveyed and remembered; with emotion comes successful communication. Having the capacity to engage a person through a visual dialogue is of the utmost importance. Design is pivotal — whether it be a brand, a product, a service, a movement, or an idea — there is a message. This message must be seen.

LAVIDGE, Phoenix, AZ; 09/11 - 03/15

Lead the conceptual development and execution of biannual campaigns across multiple advertising platforms for Phoenix International Raceway, from which top performing results were achieved. Pushed creative direction into new territories putting the brand in the national spotlight. Worked closely with client services and creative teams to ensure exemplary quality control and production of deliverables. Handled vendor coordination and, when necessary, client relations. Other duties consisted of new business procurement, brand strategy, logo design, production, ad campaigns traditional/interactive and broadcast, all while advocating a fun, collaborative culture to inspire others to do great work.

The James Agency, Scottsdale, AZ; 03/10 - 09/11

Worked closely with teams in both the conceptual stages, as well as overseeing the execution of strategic campaigns and brand development. Duties also included client relations,
vendor coordination, estimating and team building exercises.

Taste of Ink Studios, Scottsdale, AZ; 02/10 - 02/11

Lead designer and brand specialist in both print and online applications. Duties involved ideation, design, presentation, client relations, vendor coordination, estimating and billing.

Blind Society, Scottsdale, AZ; 06/09 - 03/10

Duties included design and execution of strategic, consumer-centric campaigns.
Experiential tactics and non-traditional marketing were the primary approach.
